Important Information for Your Trip

The Nature of the Trips

Sahara Relax specializes in tours that take place mainly in remote or developing areas. These environments may involve certain risks such as limited medical facilities, long distances to the nearest services in case of emergency, travel in mountain and desert regions, off-road transportation, and non-standard accommodations.

Conditions in these areas can increase the risk of discomfort, illness, natural events, and other unforeseen situations. Safety standards may differ from those expected in Western countries. By joining a trip, you acknowledge that you are traveling at your own risk. Sahara Relax is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or loss or damage to personal property.

Delays and unexpected cancellations may occur, leading to loss of time or changes to the itinerary. We cannot be held responsible for such events and refunds cannot be issued for disruptions of this type. Flexibility is an important part of adventure travel, and the itineraries shown on our website should be considered objectives rather than fixed plans.

The tour leader has the final authority over the itinerary and conduct of the tour. Decisions may be made in the best interest of the group as a whole, including changes required due to illness or medical needs. The wellbeing of the group will always take priority.

Insurance

It is a condition of booking that all participants have adequate travel insurance. Your insurance should include comprehensive cover for baggage, loss of money, personal accident, medical expenses, and repatriation (including international medical emergency services).

Behaviour

Sahara Relax is committed to respecting and preserving the cultures of the regions in which we travel. Your tour leader has full authority during the trip. Information regarding cultural sensitivity will be provided before and during the journey, especially for remote areas. By booking, you agree to follow these guidelines and behave respectfully throughout the trip.

If you commit an illegal act or behave in a way that endangers or negatively affects other participants or guides, your leader may ask you to leave the tour at any time. In such a case, Caravane Desert et Montagne will not be liable for your continued travel, and no refund will be issued.

Children and Infants

The risks associated with bringing children or infants on the trip are entirely the responsibility of the accompanying adults.

Booking Advice

Some tours offered by Sahara Relax include several days of trekking or other adventurous activities. You must ensure that you are physically capable of taking part, for your own safety and for the safety of the group.

The aim of the trek is not to cover as much distance as possible, but we do have daily objectives and require a reasonable level of stamina and fitness. We walk at a pace suitable for the slowest member of the group, but preparation is strongly recommended. Once booked, consider building your fitness gradually through regular exercise. This will significantly enhance your enjoyment of the journey.

Please also consider whether this type of travel is right for you, as amenities during treks can be extremely basic. Sahara Relax operates in areas without standard tourist facilities, especially during extended time spent in rural regions.
