DAY: 1

Marrakech ❯  Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah ❯  Skoura  ❯  Dades

We start at 7:30 am in Marrakech and move directly to Ouarzazate. The way to the Tizi N'Tichka pass (2260m) is a winding mountain road with magnificent views of the valleys. In winter the mountains are covered with snow. On the other side of the pass we visit the Kasbah of Glaoui in Télouet, followed by the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah in the Ounila valley for lunch. This famous Kasbah is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been the setting for many films. In Ouarzazate we visit the movie studios, then continue down the road of a thousand kasbahs into the beautiful Dades valley. The first night is spent in a hostel or Riad in the Dades gorges.

DAY: 2

Dades Valley ❯  Todra ❯  Nkoub  ❯  Zagora

After breakfast we leave the Dades valley for the Todgha, a beautiful valley on the banks of the river with gardens and gorges 300m high. We follow the road to Alnif through the Sagho mountains towards Nkoub, a small town known for henna and fossils. After this garden city the valley opens and is surrounded by mountains standing like lions on either side. We pass through N'Kob, the village of 50 Kasbah, then continue to the beautiful Draa valley. Palm groves, mountains and the river line the road to Zagora. We continue to Bivouac Sahara Relax outside of Zagora. We pass the evening with a traditional dinner and the music of nomads around a campfire. Fall asleep immersed in a world of silence under a ceiling of stars.

DAY: 3

Zagora ❯  Tamgroute ❯  M'hamid  ❯  Chigaga Dunes

In the morning we head toward Tamghoute , a village known for its green pottery and the largest Koranic library in Morocco. After this visit we will continue our journey to the Sacred Oasis and have lunch in the shade of a palm tree, then move on to the Chigaga dunes. These large dunes extend for 60km; a bivouac awaits you at the middle of the dunes. In the evening, ride a camel out in the dunes and watch the sunset over the sand. Back at the Bivouac, a meal and the nomads entertainment awaits. You will be in a world of silence and beauty with a canopy of stars.

DAY: 4

Chigaga Dunes ❯  Iriki Lake ❯  Taznakht  ❯  Marrakech

After breakfast we drive to Lake Iriqui, a large dry lake that turns into flower garden in the rain. You will continue to Foum Zguid and Tazenakht, known for Berber carpets. Finally we cross the Atlas mountains and return to Marrakech in the evening.
