DAY 1
Zagora ❯ Tagounite ❯ M'hamid ❯ Erg Lihoudi Desert
Departure by private transport will be around 02:30 PM from Zagora. We will drive along Road number 9, following the Draa Valley and the ancient caravan route, until we reach the village of M’hamid. This marks the end of the paved road and the beginning of the Sahara desert. Our Berber team will be waiting for you there, having prepared the camel caravan for your first desert experience. The guides will assist you in dressing your turbans like desert Bedouins. You will then embark on a two-hour camel ride through the beautiful sand dunes, heading towards **Erg Lihoudi Desert**. Arriving in time for an unforgettable sunset, you will spend the night in a private nomad tent at our camp near the big dunes. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, which will be served either in the restaurant tent or outdoors under the stars. Afterward, gather around the campfire and enjoy desert music before retiring to your tent to relax and stargaze.
DAY 2
Erg Lihoudi ❯ Natural Desert Well ❯ Nomad Family ❯ Big Dunes of Chigaga
If you wake up early enough, you can witness the breathtaking sunrise, where the colors of the dunes and the interplay of shadows create an awe-inspiring view. After breakfast at our **Erg Lihoudi Standard Desert Camp**, enjoy a hot shower before starting another adventure: a 4x4 drive exploring the vast Sahara desert and discovering its wildlife. From **Erg Lihoudi**, we will travel by jeep to visit a nomadic family living near a natural well in an area called **Wadi Al-Athash**, where we will enjoy tea in their tent. If you have any spare medicine, clothes, or gifts to offer, the nomadic family will be grateful. Afterward, we will head to the enormous sand dunes of **Chigaga**, arriving in the late afternoon, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch in an oasis. In the evening, participate in activities like sandboarding and climbing the golden dunes before experiencing a stunning desert sunset. As night falls, you will enjoy a magical evening under the stars with a traditional **Berber dinner**: soup, salad, tagine, or couscous, accompanied by mint tea. We will also enjoy local music around the campfire before heading to our beds.
DAY 3
Erg Chigaga ❯ Elbour ❯ Tamegroute ❯ Zagora
After a hearty breakfast with a spectacular view, we will embark on a 4x4 journey from **Erg Chigaga** dunes to **Tamegroute**, where we will visit the renowned Koranic library, the underground kasbah, and the local pottery cooperatives. Still feeling the sands between your toes, we will return to **Zagora** in the 4x4. Arrival in Zagora will be around 12:30 PM, marking the end of your 3-day, 2-night desert adventure in Morocco.
